Vintage Crochet Hook Conversion Chart

There are numerous crochet patterns available for use in the public domain.  Known as antique or vintage patterns, it can be disappointing to get a new crochet pattern only to find that you aren't familiar with the vintage terms used.  Whether it is antique patterns or determining which crochet hook is best suited for your project, understanding how to adjust modern terms for vintage and antique crochet patterns is essential.  Here is a chart that will help you convert antique and vintage crochet hooks for their modern day counterparts.  Bold colors symbolize steel hooks while those in brown symbolize bone, ivory, and wood crochet hooks.
