Groovy Crochet Baby and Toddler Patterns

Groovy crochet was an awesome website that collected a number of patterns from the sixties and seventies.  However, after being hacked by an unscrupulous person, the site was inevitably taken down.  There is a wonderful website called, "http://www.archive.org" that continues to document a number of different websites, as well as audio and video files that are no longer on the web.  Many of Groovy Crochet's pages are stored on Archive.org.  I have added many of the great patterns to Fun Crochet along with a link to the directions found at Archive.org's Groovy Crochet pages.  As you can easily tell, many of the patterns that were designed in the sixties and seventies are completely in style and fashionable today.  Enjoy!

50-Add-a-Square Skirt

A splash of color over soft pastels is a great way to use leftover yarns.  Squares of graduated sizes give skirt gentle flare.  Of sport yarn.  6 mos.--2 yrs

51-Bunting, Needlework & Crafts, Fall/Winter, 1971-72

Cozy bunting, dazzling bright, is fun, easy to make.  Squares "grow" for shaping. Sport yarn.  For infants.

62-Toddler Poncho, Today's Granny Squares, 1971

Ever see a granny square with a hole in the middle?  Now you have!  Perhaps not a true granny; but a very nice new variation on the theme of double crochet shells.  About 20" square.
